We provide construction services including pipeline construction, platform installation and removal, diving services, and construction support to the offshore oil and gas industry in the United States Gulf of Mexico (the Gulf of Mexico) and in selected international areas. Unless the context indicates otherwise, all references to we, us or our refer to Global Industries, Ltd. and its consolidated subsidiaries. We began as a provider of diving services to the offshore oil and gas industry over thirty years ago and have used selective acquisitions, new construction, and upgrades to expand our operations and assets. We have the largest number of offshore construction vessels currently available in the Gulf of Mexico and our worldwide fleet includes eighteen barges that have various combinations of pipelay, pipebury, and derrick capabilities. Our fleet includes sixty-three manned vessels that were available for service during fiscal 2003.
