Definition(s) for INDENTURE:


1. ) Also called trust deed, it refers to a legal contract between a bond issuer and its lenders that specifies the terms of the issue. Typical provisions are the amount and dates of interest payments, name of the trusteee, maturity date, collateral, restrictions on dividends or other borrowing , and specifics of a sinking fund or potential calls. It is the trustee's job to ensure that the terms of the indenture are fulfilled.

2. ) A written agreement under which bonds and debentures are issued, setting forth maturity date, interest rate, and other terms.

3. ) Each Indenture Of Trust Among A Nelnet Student Loan Trust, The Eligible Lender Trustee And The Indenture Trustee Identified In The Related Prospectus Supplement, Including All Supplements And Amendments Thereto.
