Glossary Term: SUPPORT

Definition(s) for SUPPORT:


1. ) refers to an effective lower bound on prices supported because of many willing buyers at that price level.

2. ) A term in technical analysis indicating a price area lower than the current price of the stock, where demand is thought to exist. Thus a stock would stop declining when it reached a support area. See also Resistance.

3. ) A term used in technical analysis to describe a price area at which falling prices are expected to stop or meet increased buying activity. This analysis is based on previous price behavior of the stock.
