1. ) pertains to a group of investors that agree to participate in a round of funding for a company. Alternatively, a syndicate can refer to a group of investment banks that agree to participate in the sale of stock to the public as part of an IPO.

2. ) A group of investment bankers who together underwrite and distribute a new issue of securities or a large block of an outstanding issue.

3. ) A Group Of Names And/Or Corporate Members Underwriting Insurance Business At An Insurance Firm Through The Agency Of A Managing Agent To Which A Particular Syndicate Number Is Assigned By Or With The Authority Of The Council.
